1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2. The petitioner has preferred this application for grant of anticipatory bail apprehending her arrest in connection with Ismailpur P.S. Case no.78 of 2025, registered under sections 20(b)(ii) and 22(b) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

3. As per the prosecution case, the informant states that on information having been received about Ramdhari Mandal being involved in sale of liquor, a raid was conducted. On search of the house, 14 kgs of ganja was recovered. It is further stated that the petitioner herein who happens to be the wife of Ramdhari Mandal managed to escape.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the case only for the reason that she happens to be the wife of co-accused Ramdhari

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.58099 of 2025(2) dt.30-08-2025 2/2 Mandal. Neither any incriminating article was recovered from her possession nor was she arrested at the spot. The petitioner who happens to be a lady has no criminal antecedent. She undertakes to cooperate in the investigation/trial.

5. The application for anticipatory bail is opposed by learned A.P.P. for the State.

6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and taking into consideration the nature of allegation against the petitioner in the F.I.R. and the petitioner being a lady having no criminal antecedent, in the facts of the case, it is directed that the petitioner above named, in the event of her arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks, be released on anticipatory bail in connection with Ismailpur P.S. Case no.78 of 2025 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Principal Sessions Judge at Bhagalpur.
