JUSTICE ARUN KUMAR ORAL ORDER 11-05-2018 Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and the State. Petitioner, already in custody since 22.1.2018, seeks bail in Ahiyapur PS Case No. 68 of 2018 registered under Sections 25(1b)a, 26 and 35 of the Arms Act. The allegation in brief is that one country made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from the possession of the petitioner.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that only one criminal antecedent is against the petitioner and he is in custody since 22.1.2018.

Having considered the recovery and criminal antecedent, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. The trial court is directed to expedite the trial and if it does not conclude within a year the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail.
