2. Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 406, 409, 419, 420, 467, 120-B, 34 of IPC .

3. It is alleged that this petitioner namely Ram Bachan Ram alongwith other co-accused persons have embezzled the amount of flood relief fund.

4. It is submitted that petitioner has already retired from the post of Circle Officer on 31.03.2022 . He next submits that it were data entry operator and BLO who were connected with the work of flood relief programme. At the relevant time, petitioner was posted as circle officer and was no way connected with the flood relief work. Petitioner is 65 years old

5. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that at the time of occurrence the petitioner was the Circle officer of the concerned office and also the fact that he is the head official of his office, as such, he cannot deny the fact that it was his responsibility to supervise the work.

6. Considering the nature and gravity of allegation, prayer for pre-arrest bail of the petitioner is rejected. (Prabhat Kumar Singh, J) Kaushik/- U T
