The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Khaira P.S. Case No. 135 of 2018 for the offences punishable under Sections 272, 273, 120(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 30(a) and 38(I) Bihar Prohibition & Excise Act. The allegation is regarding recovery of 82.50 liters of illicit liquor from a vehicle of which the petitioner is said to be the driver.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is merely the driver of the said vehicle, hence he was not knowing as to what was being carried by the owner of the said vehicle in the said car. It is submitted that the petitioner is having a clean antecedent and he is languishing in custody since

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (rupees ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned A.D.J.-2nd, Jamui in connection with Khaira P.S. Case No. 135 of 2018.
