JUSTICE SAMARENDRA PRATAP SINGH ORAL ORDER 04-08-2015 The petitioner prays for quashing of the notice dated 27.6.2011, as contained in memo no.499, issued by the Block Development Officer, Majhaulia, West Champaran whereby the petitioner has been directed to deposit a sum of Rs.1,55,969/- against the value of undistributed rice under different schemes of Sampurna Gramin Rojgar Yojna and Food for Work Yojna.

The petitioner submits that in fact he has already deposited the entire sum of Rs.1,55,969/- vide challan dated 31.5.2011. He thus submits that the impugned demand is either miscalculation or an error of record. Having heard learned counsel for the parties, this writ application is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to file a representation raising his grievance before the Block Development Officer, Majhalulia, West Champaran within six weeks from today, who would pass a fresh order within six weeks from the date of its filing.
