The petitioners apprehend their arrest in a case registered for the offence under Sections 323, 341, 420/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

No.50755 of 2022(2) dt.19-12-2022 2/3 As per F.I.R., it is alleged that on 20.09.2020, a prewedding ritual was held where apart from gifts, cash of Rs. 51,000/- was given to the accused persons and after this, the accused persons demanded more money, on account of which, the marriage was cancelled. It is further alleged that the accused persons did not return the said amount, which was taken by them.

Petitioners deny the allegation levelled in the F.I.R. It is submitted that some negotiation took place between the parties, but same was not finalized. It is further submitted that after intervention of the well-wishers, the whole expenditure was returned by these petitioners to the complainant and as such, no case under Section 420 of the I.P.C. is made out against these petitioners. Petitioners have clean antecedent. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances, let the above named petitioners, in the event of their arrest/surrender within a period of six weeks from today, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail-bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari in connection with Complaint Case No. 821 of 2021, subject to condition as laid down under Section
