This Court has been informed that the investigation in this case is complete and the charge has been framed. A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondent no. 6 sworn on 15.10.2022. In paragraph '7' thereof,

Patna High Court CR. WJC No.224 of 2017(4) dt.19-10-2022 2/2 the following statements have been made:- "7. That the answering respondent has directed the Sub-Divisional Police Officer and the S.H.O. Phulparas to take proper steps for security of the petitioner and produce the witnesses in the court at the date fixed with full protection."

Learned counsel for the State submits that in view of the directions issued, it is the responsibility of the S.H.O., Phulparas to provide appropriate security to the petitioner and produce the witnesses. Accordingly, this Court directs the S.H.O., Phulparas Police Station to act in terms of the directions as contained in Annexure 'C' to the counter affidavit and provide adequate protection to the petitioner and other witnesses.
