In this case, petitioners are seeking bail in connection with Dehri (T) P.S. Case No. 417 of 2014 registered for offence under section 304/34 of the Indian Penal Code. As per the prosecution story, allegation has been made that after marriage, in-laws of the victim were demanding dowry and ultimately she was killed.

Counsel for the petitioners submits, victim died while working in the kitchen and so much so that petitioner no. 1 is father of the brother-in-law of the husband of the victim and he is not a very close relative whereas petitioner no. 2 is the elder sister

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.9984 of 2016 (2) dt.03-03-2016 2/2 having been married much earlier.

One thing is very important that while body of the victim was being taken away, the Police apprehended the occupants of the Ambulance where both of them (petitioners) were not present.

Looking to facts and circumstances of the case, in the event of arrest or surrender within 4 weeks, petitioners, above named, are directed to be released on bail on their furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Dehri-onSone in connection with Dehri (T) P.S. Case No. 417 of 2014, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438 (2) Cr. P.C. and whenever the Police will call the petitioners for investigation/interrogation, they will present themselves. If they would not present themselves, the privilege of this anticipatory bail will be deemed to have been cancelled.
