====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 12-09-2025 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State.

2. Petitioner seeks regular bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(B)(ii)(c) and 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

3. As per prosecution case, 287.55 quintal Ganja was recovered from the house of co-accused Kamrul Hoda.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no incriminating material has been recovered from conscious possession of the petitioner. Petitioner has been made accused in this case only on the basis of confessional statement of coaccused Kamrul Hoda. Petitioner claims clean antecedent.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State opposes the prayer for

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.49810 of 2025(2) dt.12-09-2025 2/2 bail and submits that huge quantity of Ganja was recovered and co-accused Kamrul Hoda disclosed the name of this petitioner.

6. Considering the huge quantity of recovery and nature of accusation, prayer for grant of bail to the petitioner is refused.

7. However, considering the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 20.12.2024, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same, preferably within a period of one year from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order.
