2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution case, petitioner is alleged to be involved in the theft of a motorcycle.

4. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is not named in the FIR. Name of the petitioner transpired during the course of investigation, in the confessional statement of co-accused Sarbin Kumar.

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail. It is submitted that the petitioner is a member of motorcycle theft gang and has got three criminal antecedents of similar nature.
