The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with Hayaghat P.S. Case No.88 of 2020 registered for the offences under Sections 341, 323, 354, 504 and 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

From the allegations levelled in the first information report, it appears that the petitioner is said to have demanded extortion money from the informant.

In the circumstances, this is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Prayer for anticipatory bail is hereby rejected.
