That the petitioner respectfully seeks indulgence of this Hon'ble Court for issuance of order/direction/ writ, preferably in the nature of mandamus, commanding and directing the Respondent authority in particularly the District Magistrate-cum-District Collector, Saharsa (Respondent No.3) to consider the claim of petitioner for granting him promotion in the vehicle driver category-II, category-I and special category of vehicle driver, in the light of Notification No.1468 dated 25.04.2007 issued

Patna High Court CWJC No.12374 of 2023(2) dt.15-01-2024 2/2 from the level of the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department as well as letter No.36 dated 07.01.2013 issued from the level of District Magistrate, Saharsa, as the petitioner has already completed 15 years of his regular service as vehicle driver in the department and is entitled the said benefits for which the petitioner has already submitted his representation before the District Magistrate, Saharsa on 09.01.2023 along with the required documents, but no action is being taken."

After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however, seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Respondents authorities for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.
