The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is non-payment of arrears of salary for the period 1996 to 2012 .

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was appointed on 22.02.1974. He joined on 9.3.1974. the petitioner was made permanent on 31.12.1980. He further submits that the petitioner has filed representation but his

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that notwithstanding granting status of permanent, the University has not paid the admissible salary and the petitioner has superannuated. He has to be paid his legitimate dues as per his entitlement.

Without entering into the details of controversy, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file exhaustive representation addressed to the Vice Chancellor of the T.M. Bhagalpur University. In the event such representation is filed along with a copy of this order, the respondents will consider the same and pass appropriate order in accordance with law. If anything is found payable to the petitioner, the respondents shall ensure payment of the same within a maximum period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
