JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 02-08-2021 Mr. Sanjeev Ranjan learned counsel for the petitioner has informed this Court at the outset that inadvertently the petitioner got filed two bail application in the same matter through offices of two different set of lawyers. In One of the cases being Cr. Misc No. 4636 of 2021 he has been granted bail. Learned counsel submits that in the given circumstance he would not press this application.

Ms. Shaheen Begum, learned APP for the State is present.

While this Court appreciates that learned counsel for the petitioner has informed this Court about filing of two applications by the petitioner for grant of bail, this court would

No.7767 of 2021(3) dt.02-08-2021 2/2 certainly not appreciate the conduct of the petitioner who seems to have been involved in taking chance by filing two different application in the same matter in order to obtain bail. This has resulted in burdening the whole system. This practice has to be deprecated and is required to be dealt with strictly. Considering this conduct of petitioner, this Court imposes the cost of Rs. 10000/- upon him which he would be obliged to deposit with the Patna High Court legal Aid Committee within two weeks from today failing which the office shall place the matter before this Court for consequential action under heading to be mentioned. The receipt showing deposit of money must be filed within aforesaid period.
