The petitioner is in custody in connection with Jagdishpur Mahila P.S. Case No. 162 of 2018 for the offenses under Sections 498 (A), 379/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is Constable in B.S.F posted in Amritsar. The allegation against the petitioner in the instant case is demand for extra dowry from his wife. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent. The petitioner is in custody since 25.05.2019.
