JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 24-02-2023 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1(b). For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of mandamus for direction to decide arms application no.518/2022 which is still pending before the respondent no.2 for consideration on arms application u/s 25 of the Arms Rule, 2016 after death of the father of the petitioner contained in annexure 1 series."

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed an application on 14.3.2022 for the purposes of transfer of arms license of the deceased father of the petitioner in his name, which has not been disposed off till date. It is further submitted that the case of the petitioner is covered

Patna High Court CWJC No.13329 of 2022(2) dt.24-02-2023 2/2 by a judgment, reported in 2018 (3) PLJR page 455 (Dr. Shailendra Kumar vs. The State of Bihar & Ors.). Having regard to the limited prayer made by the petitioner, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Patna, to consider the application of the petitioner dated 14.3.2022 and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/ production of a copy of this order, in case the same has not already been disposed off.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
