JUSTICE CHAKRADHARI SHARAN SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 09-03-2017 In exercise of power under Section 127 of the Cr.P.C. learned Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Patna has enhanced monthly maintenance allowance of Opposite Party No. 2, from sum of Rs. 200 to Rs. 2000 per month, which is being assailed by the petitioner in the present proceeding.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that enhancement of maintenance amount by ten times is unreasonable, in the background of the fact that the petitioner himself is an old and ailing person. However, upon perusal of the materials on record, it is not in dispute, that the petitioner is keeping another lady with him. Learned counsel for the petitioner has further

Be that as it may. Considering the prevalent inflation, I do not consider fixation of sum of Rs. 2000/- per month as maintenance allowance to be unreasonable from any angle. There is no merit in this application. It is, accordingly, dismissed.
