2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Manjhagarh P.S. Case No. 129 of 2021 dated 06.05.2021, lodged under Sections 399, 402, 412, 414 of the Indian Penal Code read with sections 25(1-b)a/26/35 of the Arms Act and sections 20(b)(ii)(c), 25, 29 of the NDPS Act pending before Additional District Judge-I, Gopalganj.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the bail application of the petitioner has earlier been rejected twice vide orders dated 28.11.2022 & 23.02.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. Nos. 47588 of 2021 & 450 of 2024 respectively. Counsel further submits that on earlier occasion, report about the present stage of the case has been called for and upon perusal of which, it

No.54072 of 2024(3) dt.13-09-2024 2/2 transpires that prosecution evidence was closed on 09.08.2023, statement u/s 313 of Cr.P.C. made on 04.10.2023 and the defence evidence had also been closed on 28.02.2024. Counsel further submits that the criminal antecedent of the petitioner is not clean as there are two criminal cases pending against him, in both of which, he is on bail. The petitioner is in custody since 27.05.2021 in the present case.

4. Learned APP for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner.

5. In the present facts and circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected.
