JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 31-07-2019 Grievance of the petitioner in the present writ application is non payment of dearness allowance and house rent allowance which was admissible to the petitioner on account of adoption of UGC pay scale by the State Government. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that petitioner has approached the Registrar of the University by filing representation for payment of the dues admissible as dearness allowance and house rent allowances. The matter is pending before the Registrar and no action has been taken as yet. The difference of arrears of salary in the nature of dearness allowance and house rent allowance is for the period January,
Patna High Court CWJC No.15387 of 2019(2) dt.31-07-2019 2/2 2006 to March, 2010.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that other similarly circumstanced teachers have been granted such benefit but the petitioner has been discriminated.
Considering the aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of with direction to the University to take appropriate decision on the claim of the petitioner for grant of dearness allowance and house rent allowance for the period January, 2006 to March, 2010 and grant similar benefit if other similarly circumstanced teachers have been granted such benefit. Necessary decision in this regard must be taken by the University within a period of three months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
With the aforesaid, the writ application stands disposed of.
