JUSTICE RAVI RANJAN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 12-05-2015 Through this writ application the petitioner seeks direction to the respondents to pay the dues with regard to use of his vehicle (bus) bearing registration no. BR-33F-3514 in the Lok Sabha Elections for the period 18.4.2014 to 24.4.2014 in Supaul District, 2.5.2014 to 8.5.2014 in Vaishali District and from 8.5.2014 to 13.5.2014 in the Motihari District. However, it is informed at the time of hearing by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has received the amount for use of the vehicle in Supaul as well as Motihari Districts but so far the Vaishali District is concerned the payment is still required to be made by the respondents

This Court on several occasions had recorded its displeasure after noticing that after the vehicles was utilized during the election, due amounts are not being paid and the owners of the vehicles are forced to move from pillar to post. However, since in the present matter the payment for two districts have already been received during the pendency of this writ application, this court would be inclined to dispose of this writ application with a direction to the District Magistrate, Vaishali to take immediate steps for payment of the admitted dues of the petitioner preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt / production of this order, failing which admitted unpaid amount would carry simple interest @ 10 % to be calculated from the date the same become due till its final payment.
