The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with Sheikhpura P.S. Case No. 375 of 2017 registered under Sections 147, 148, 149, 302 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code. Considering the gravity of the offence and the allegation made in the first information report that the petitioner also participated in assault upon the deceased, I am not inclined to grant him pre-arrest bail.
