The above three criminal miscellaneous petitions have been filed for quashing the order dated 13.12.2013 in Barauni P.S. Case No. 455 of 2012, passed by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Begusarai by which cognizance under Sections 498A of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, has been taken against the petitioners. In Criminal Miscellaneous No. 51990 of 2014, the sole petitioner Umar Farooque is the husband of the informantOpposite Party No. 2, in Criminal Miscellaneous No. 49040 of 2014, petitioner no. 1 is the Father-in-Law, petitioner no. 2 is the Mother-in-Law, petitioner no. 3 and 4 are unmarried sisters of husband of informant-Opposite Party No. 2 and in Criminal Miscellaneous No. 50931 of 2014, petitioner no. 1 is the Brother-in-Law and petitioner no. 2 is the married Sister-in-Law of informant-Opposite Party No. 2.

Notices were issued to the informant-Opposite Party No. 2 and she has appeared through her counsel by filing

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.49040 of 2014 dt.21-11-2017 3/3 vakalatnama. When the matter has been taken up, learned counsel for the informant-Opposite Party No. 2 informs this Court that the matter between the parties have been amicably settled and he has instruction not to oppose the petition. In view of the submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner as well as Opposite Party No. 2, both the parties are directed to file a compromise petition before the trial court and the trial court may direct the parties particularly the husband and the wife to appear in person and file a joint compromise petition before the trial court and trial court on being satisfied that the dispute has been resolved by the parties and good relations have been restored between them, may pass an appropriate order on joint compromise petition being presented by the parties.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, these petitions are disposed of.
