2. Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 302, 201/34 of the IPC.
3. Informant's daughter was married with one Ravikant Chatiya in 2015. After sometime, petitioner and their family members started subjecting the victim to cruelty and harassment for non-fulfilment of demand of dowry. On 12.12.2023 informant's daughter was killed by this petitioner and other family members.
4. Petitioner, who is brother-in-law of deceased, is separate in mess and property. Allegations are general and omnibus in nature without specific date and time and nature of harassment. As a matter of fact, victim committed suicide and her family members also attended last rites. There is general and omnibus allegation against this petitioner and no specific overt act has been alleged against him. Thrust of accusation is against husband of the deceased who has been granted regular bail.
5. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail.
6. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, in the event of arrest or surrender within six weeks from today, let both the petitioners, as named above, be enlarged
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.51376 of 2025(3) dt.15-10-2025 2/2 on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(ten thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Samastipur in Patory Police Station Case No. 756 of 2023, subject to the conditions laid down under section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
