JUSTICE SUDHIR SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT (Per: HONOURABLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE) Date: 04-02-2017 The petitioner in the present writ application in public interest has claimed direction to the respondents to rehabilitate the victims of Lalganj's riots falling within the area of Lalganj Police Station on 18.11.2015.
In the counter affidavit dated 18.04.2016, the list of the victims and payments made to them have been appended as Annexure-B whereas Annexure-C is the list of the persons to whom the police protection has been given.
In another counter affidavit dated 03.05.2016 filed on
Patna High Court CWJC No.5163 of 2016 dt.04-02-2017 2/2 behalf of the Superintendent of Police, Vaishali at Hajipur, it has been mentioned that the case in respect of riots have been investigated properly under the supervision of senior police officials and the accused persons against whom the evidence collected were remanded to judicial custody and some other absconding accused persons have been arrested.
In view of the action taken by the respondents, we do not find that any direction is required to be called for in the present public interest litigation.
