JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 06-08-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. That the petitioner craves indulgence of this Hon'ble Court for issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other writ / writs, order / orders, direction / directions, commanding the respondents to pay the sum of Insurance Claim which belongs to the petitioner's husband under the Scheme of PRADHAN MANTRI SURAKSHA BIMA YOJANA."

At the outset, the learned counsel

Patna High Court CWJC No.11460 of 2024(2) dt.06-08-2024 2/3 appearing for the respondent-Bank of Baroda, Mahnar Branch, District-Vaishali, submits that the petitioner had approached the bank about one and a half years back, whereupon she was given an application form which was required to be filled and various documents were required to be furnished, however, thereafter she did not come, hence the matter could not be processed, nonetheless, in case the petitioner approaches the respondent-Bank, the application form/check list shall be given to her and thereafter, if she fills the same and submits the requisite documents, the matter would be processed expeditiously, in accordance with law.

In view of the aforesaid, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be approaching the respondent no. 5 within a period of one week from today. 4.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct that in case the petitioner visits the respondent no. 5 within a period of one week from

Patna High Court CWJC No.11460 of 2024(2) dt.06-08-2024 3/3 today, the respondent no. 5 shall hand over the application form/check list to the petitioner, who shall then, within a further period of two weeks thereafter, submit the requisite documents and then the respondent no. 5 shall take a final decision, within a period of eight weeks, thereupon.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
