The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Excise Case No. 238 of 2021 (PR No. 6/21) instituted for the offence under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise (Amendment) Act, 2018.

720 litres of liquor is said to have been recovered from behind the house of a co-accused, but the petitioner

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.60604 of 2021(2) dt.23-05-2022 2/2 also was arrested on the presumption that he was involved in the trade of liquor.

The petitioner is in custody since 09.08.2021. Though the petitioner has earlier been made accused in three cases of similar nature but in all such cases, he is on bail.

Considering the period of custody of the petitioner and the nature of accusation against him, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail-bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, Excise Act, Muzaffarpur in connection with Excise Case No. 238 of 2021 (PR No. 6/21).

The application stands allowed.
