The petitioner has been in custody since 01.03.2018 in connection with Kahalgaon N.T.P.C. P.S. Case No. 15 of 2018 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420/467/468/471/120B of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the entire case is false and misconceived and the allegation that he has prepared a forged certificate is purely malicious. He further submits that nothing has been recovered from his possession but the informant and the police party had taken his signature on plain paper with an oblique motive and whatever recoveries have been made are not from the house of the petitioner has he is merely a tenant therein and also not the owner of the alleged house.
