The petitioner seeks a direction upon the respondents to pay compensation to her for the gun shot injuries caused to her by the police personnel in connection with a case. The police cited later her as an accused in a criminal case. On the relevant date, she was sleeping with her husband who was required by the police in connection with a criminal case. A search/raid was conducted for securing his arrest.

Patna High Court CWJC No.21614 of 2011 (2) dt.30-09-2015 2/2 It appears from the pleadings on record that the petitioner was subsequently also made accused in a separate case for having caused obstruction in lawful discharge of the duty by the police personnel.

In my view, such claim cannot be entertained in writ jurisdiction. The petitioner may approach the appropriate forum/Court for the said relief.

The writ application is disposed of.
