JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 20-09-2022 Learned counsel for the petitioner shall remove all the S.R. defect(s) within a period of four weeks. Petitioner in the present case is seeking direction to the respondents to register a first information report in connection with Jamui Rail P.P., U.D. Case No. 12 of 2019 dated 25.11.2019 and make impartial and proper investigation in the matter. On the basis of the information furnished to the Officer-in-charge of Jamui Police Station, an unnatural death (U.D.) case has been registered on 25.11.2019. It is alleged that till date, police has not taken any step in the matter and despite representations submitted before the

Patna High Court CR. WJC No.252 of 2021(2) dt.20-09-2022 2/2 higher authorities of the Bihar Police vide Annexure '4' to the writ application, no step has been taken so far. To this Court, it appears at this stage that Jamui police must complete its enquiry in terms of Section 174 Cr.P.C. in the U.D. Case within a period of four months from the date of communication of this order and make available his report after holding proper enquiry with a copy of the same to the informant. If the informant feels aggrieved by the investigation of the U.D. case, he will be at liberty to seek his remedy before appropriate court in appropriate jurisdiction in accordance with law.

This application stands disposed of accordingly. Certified copy of this order shall be make available only after removal of the defect(s).
