This application under section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been filed for quashing the First Information Report in Bairgania P.S.Case No. 136 of 2013 registered for the offences punishable under section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code as also section 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

The allegations made in the FIR do constitute a cognizable offence.
