2. The petitioner is seeking regular bail in connection with Bhagwanpur P.S. Case No. 272 of 2022, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 272, 273 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act 2018.
3. As per allegation, the police got secret information that huge quantity of foreign liquor was unloaded by liquor mafia in village Sheikhopur Dadhiya. The police team reached at the spot. Having seen the police party, the accused persons started fleeing away. Two of them were arrested and disclosed their names as Hari Gopal Rai and Vinod Rai. On search, 990
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.52489 of 2023(2) dt.16-08-2023 2/2 liters of foreign liquor was recovered.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that though earlier regular bail petition of the petitioner has been rejected by this Court, but he is renewing his prayer on the fresh ground that some accused persons, on the similar footing, have been granted bail by the co-ordinate Benches of this Court.
5. In my view the petitioner does not deserve the privileges for bail, which is hereby rejected.
6. The petitioner may renew the prayer for bail if the trial is not concluded within a period of 18 months. (Nawneet Kumar Pandey, J) Kundan/Nirmal U T
