2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Araria (Bairgachhi) P.S. Case No. 649 of 2022 dated 30.07.2022, lodged under Sections 20(b)(ii)/c/25/29 of the NDPS Act.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the bail application of the petitioner was earlier rejected vide order dated 09.10.2023 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 27305 of 2023 with a direction to the Trial Court to expedite the trial within its stipulated period of time. Counsel further submits that the criminal antecedent of the petitioner is clean and he is in custody since 31.07.2022. Counsel submits that on earlier occasion, report with respect to stage of trial has been called for
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.56286 of 2024(3) dt.31-08-2024 2/2 and from the said report, it transpires that the Trial Court has indicated that within two months, trial shall be completed.
4. Learned APP for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioner.
5. In the present facts and circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner at present.
6. Accordingly, the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner in connection with Araria (Bairgachhi) P.S. Case No. 649 of 2022, pending before the learned Sessions Judge-cumSpecial Judge, Araria is hereby rejected. (Dr. Anshuman, J) Divyansh/- U T
