====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE JUSTICE SMT. SONI SHRIVASTAVA ORAL ORDER 06-05-2025 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned APP for the State and learned counsel for the complainant.
2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 498(A) of the Indian Penal Code.
3. Petitioner, who is husband of complainant, is said to have tortured upon her physically and mentally and ousted her from the matrimonial house in association of his family members over the dowry demand.
4. The matter was earlier sent to the Patna High Court Mediation Centre for the purposes of resolution of disputes and

No.57123 of 2024(4) dt.06-05-2025 2/3 it would appear from the mediation report that the parties have settled their disputes amicably by way of an agreement dated 09.04.2025 in Mediation Proceeding No. 74 of 2025. According to the said agreement, an amount of Rs. 11 lacs has been fixed for the full and final settlement of grievances between the parties out of which the first installment would be of Rs. 2,75,000/- which would be paid by way of bank draft on 15.05.2025 and the other installments would follow as indicated in paragraph 2 of the agreement reached between the parties.
5. Learned counsel appearing for the complainant supports the settlement arrived at by way of the agreement dated 09.04.2025.
6. In such view of the matter, let the above named petitioner, be released on bail, in the event of his arrest or surrender before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks from today, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Court below where the case is pending/successor Court in connection with Complaint Case No. 490 of 2019, subject to the condition as laid down under Section 438 (2) of the Cr.P.C.
