The petitioner, who is husband of opposite party no. 2, apprehends his arrest in Garkha P.S. Case No. 247/2019 (arising out of Complaint Case No. 1162/19) registered for the offence under Section 498(A) & other allied sections of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act. In view of specific allegation against the petitioner of demand of dowry coupled with torture as well as the fact that petitioner is not ready to pay maintenance to opposite party no. 2, I am not inclined to extend the privilege of bail.
