In this case, the petitioner is challenging the order of cognizance dated 20.01.2016 arising from Banka P.S. Case No. 475 of 2015 registered for offences under sections 420, 467, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code.

Allegation of manipulation of records has been made. The plea has been taken by the petitioner that it is the D.C.L.R who has lodged the First Information Report when himself is responsible for the aforesaid act. The Magistrate will examine the fact from all angles and if he feels that a further investigation is required, he may have
