JUSTICE PRABHAT KUMAR SINGH ORAL ORDER 16-08-2021 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. Petitioner seeks regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 302 and other ancillary Sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Prayer for bail of this petitioner has been rejected earlier twice by this court. By order dated 17.02.2020 the trial court was directed to conclude the trial within six months. By order dated 01.07.2021 a report from the trial court about the stage of trial was called for which reveals that four prosecution witnesses have already been examined and they supported the prosecution case and reminder letter was issued on 04.02.2021 to non official witnesses. Considering the progress of trial and nature of allegation and offence, I am not inclined to enlarge the

Since the petitioner is in custody since 30.07.2018, the trial court is directed to conclude the trial as soon as possible, preferably, within a period of nine months from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order.
