In this case, the petitioner was appointed on the post of Clerk and posted at Buxar district. He remained there and discharged the duty, but the salary has not been paid on the plea that his certificate was not verified and after delay of seven years, the certificate of the petitioner has been verified and found to be genuine, however, till date not a single farthing
Patna High Court CWJC No.8583 of 2017 dt.02-08-2018 2/2 has been paid to the petitioner.
It is a high time, the State has taken seven years for verification of the certificate of the petitioner. In such view of the matter, the respondents are directed to pay the entire salary along with 11% compound interest to the petitioner without any further delay. The State will be at liberty, if it finds that certain Officers/employees/authorities are responsible for the delay of payment, to recover the amount of interest from the pocket of that Officers/employees/authorities.
With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ petition is allowed to the above extent. (Shivaji Pandey, J) pawan/- AFR/NAFR N.A.F.R.
