The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Dagaruwa P.S. Case No. 231 of 2014, registered for the offences punishable under Section 498A and other Sections of the Indian Penal Code. The informant made allegation against the petitionerhusband that immediately after marriage on 11.11.2011, her husband and other in-laws demanded different articles and subjected her to all sorts of torture.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is still ready to keep his wife. The allegation is baseless. It appears from the records itself that the petitioner not only subjected his wife to different sorts of torture, but also caused

The informant made petition before the Superintendent of Police to restore the marital relation and made all efforts for restoration of conjugal rights, but it appears that the petitioner did not take any interest to keep his wife with honour and dignity.

Considering the facts aforesaid, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected.
