JUSTICE RAJEEV RANJAN PRASAD ORAL ORDER 14-05-2018 Mr. Vindhyachal Singh, learned counsel representing the Registrar, Civil Court, Munger has though tried to explain the delay of about 7 years in conclusion of the trial giving some reasons, but the Court is not satisfied with the reasons put forth. In any case the pendency of a criminal case about 7 years cannot be appreciated. Learned counsel submits that this Court may fix a reasonable time within which the case will be disposed off. In the aforesaid view of the matter, this writ application is being disposed off with a direction to the concerned court to take up the present case on day to day basis and dispose it of within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. WJC No.521 of 2017 (4) dt.14-05-2018 finds that the prosecution is not cooperating and the witnesses are not being produced, after taking appropriate steps but within a short period of time giving notice to the prosecution, the case will be taken up and shall not be unnecessarily posted with long dates awaiting prosecution witnesses.
