2. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in Civil Line P.S. Case No. 462 of 2024, registered for offence punishable under Sections 409, 420, 120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
3. As per F.I.R., co-accused Karuna Kumari, who was Chairperson of Zila Parishad, Gaya, in connivance with petitioner and other co-accused persons misappropriated huge government fund, which were sanctioned by the government for development of Zila Parishad.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. At the relevant time, this petitioner was posted as Junior Engineer in the District Board, Gaya and has no authority to select, approve or release funds for any scheme. He was even not authorized to withdraw government funds. As per F.I.R., specific accusation is

5. Learned A.P.P. for the State vehemently opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that petitioner is named in the F.I.R. with accusation that he along with others misappropriated huge government funds. At the relevant time, petitioner was Junior Engineer in the District Board, Gaya.
