The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with Malsalami P.S. Case No. 29 of 2016 registered under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 135 and 138 of the Electricity Act.

Regard being had to the allegation made in the First Information Report that the petitioner has indulged in committing theft of electricity bypassing the meter, I am not inclined to grant him pre-arrest bail. Accordingly, his prayer for grant of pre-arrest bail is rejected.
