The petitioner apprehends her arrest in Piprahi P.S. Case No. 29/2016, registered for the offences punishable under Section 47A of the Excise (Amendment) Act, 2016.

The informant got information that Sharda Devi was selling liquor in her shop. On such the informant conducted raid in the shop situated in Piprahi Chowk Zila Parishad market. On search different brands of foreign liquour were recovered. It is submitted that petitioner is of course licensee of the shop, but she is an old lady. She was not running the shop. Somebody else was running the shop.

It appears that petitioner has taken the shop on rent. Considering the facts aforesaid and the fact that from

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.21137 of 2016 (3) dt.21-07-2016 2/2 shop of the petitioner huge quantity of foreign liquor was recovered, I am not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the same is rejected. (Prabhat Kumar Jha, J.) Vinita/- U T
