JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 10-09-2018 The present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondents-Bank to act as per the circular issued by the Government of India regarding Central Scheme of Interest Subsidy for education loans by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resources Development, Department of Higher Education which provides for interest subsidy for educational loans for the students of economically weaker section for pursuing technical / professional course in India and the Government of India has provided full interest subsidy during the period of moratorium i.e. the course period

Patna High Court CWJC No.14644 of 2018(2) dt.10-09-2018 2/2 plus one year or six months after getting job, whichever is earlier.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Bank has not acted as per the scheme of the Government of India and the interest subsidy has not been granted to the petitioner herein, who has taken an education loan from the Bank.

In view of the aforesaid, I deem it fit and proper to dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to the petitioner to approach the Chief Manager, Punjab National Bank, Muzaffarpur Circle Office, Bihar within a period of two weeks by filing a detailed representation, annexing a copy of the scheme, whereafter, the said Chief Manager, Punjab National Bank, Muzaffarpur Circle Office, Bihar shall dispose of the representation of the petitioner within a period of four weeks by a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law. The writ petition is disposed of on the aforesaid terms.
