JUSTICE ASHWANI KUMAR SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 30-11-2016 This writ petition has been filed for a direction upon the respondent-authorities to make payment of amount under the head provident fund to the petitioner, who was appointed as Revenue Karamchari on 25th June, 1974 and retired on 30th November, 2009.
2. The plea of the petitioner in the writ is that all his retirement dues except the provident fund have been paid.
3. A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the State wherein it has been stated that on the basis of G.P.F. statements from 1977-78 to April, 2009 an authority amounting to Rs.4,47,135/- has already been issued giving the applicable interest till October, 2015

4. After going through the averments made in the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the District Provident Fund Officer, Saharsa, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed, the application may be disposed of.
5. In that view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction that in case in terms of the authority issued by the District Provident Fund Officer, Saharsa payment has not been made to the petitioner, the same should be paid forthwith.
