Patna High Court CWJC No.14559 of 2019(2) dt.19-07-2019 2/2 CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ANIL KUMAR UPADHYAY ORAL ORDER 19-07-2019 Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the counsel appearing on behalf of the State.
Petitioners have approached this Court with the grievance that respondents have virtually calculated the reservation in the manner which comes to 55% and in addition to 50% unreserved quota, thus they have counted the seats not at the scale of 100 but at the scale of 105 which is patently illegal and manifestly wrong.
Considering the submission of counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Officer on Special duty, Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board to take appropriate decision, if the petitioner files representation and explain how they have decided to grant 10% reservation in terms of the constitutional amendment as to reservation for economically weaker class.
Necessary decision in this regard must be taken by the respondents within a period of one from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
With the aforesaid, both the writ applications stands disposed of.
