Petitioner seeks bail in connection with Special Case No. 39 of 2014 arsing out of Economic Offences P.S. Case No. 26 of 2014 registered for the offence punishable under sections 8/20B(III)/29 of the NDPS Act.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that despite the direction of this Court the trial of the case has not yet concluded, and as such petitioner has renewed his prayer for bail.

From perusal of the report received from the Court below, kept at Flag 'A', it appears that charge in this case was framed on 9th August, 2016 and till date only six witnesses have

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.33125 of 2018(4) dt.25-07-2018 2/2 been examined and the trial is going on in a very slow pace. Furthermore, petitioner has remained in custody for more than two years.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions advanced on behalf of the parties, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of Additional Sessions Judge VI, Patna in connection with Special Case No. 39 of 2014 arising out of Economic Offences P.S.
