ANJANA PRAKASH ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 21-01-2016 The petitioners seek quashing of the order of cognizance dated 25/26.06.2013 passed by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Araria in Narpatganj P.S. Case No. 105 of 2012.

The case of the informant is that he had fixed the marriage of his daughter with the son of the Petitioners no. 1 and 2 and even

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.30127 of 2014 dt.21-01-2016 though date of the Tilak ceremony was fixed but subsequently the petitioners denied the same account of inadequate dowry. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioners that there was only a proposal of the marriage and nothing more and presently the daughter of the informant has married with some other. It could not be in their interest to continue this litigation. On the last day notices had been issued to the Opposite Party no. 3 but none appeared on his behalf despite service of notice. Having considered the aforesaid circumstances, the application is allowed and the order of cognizance dated 25/26.06.2013 passed by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Araria in Narpatganj P.S.
