Let the petitioner present himself before the District Education Officer, Jamui and produce all the necessary papers with regard to his claim and the District Education Officer, in turn, will verify the status of the petitioner from the official records available with regard to his appointment, joining and postings in various institutions, including the last institution from where he supposed to have gone on leave, which is said to be the Primary School, Pratappur, Jamui.

If the status of the petitioner as an Assistant Teacher is not a matter of dispute, then, surely, a decision will be taken

Patna High Court CWJC No.5443 of 2014 (6) dt.14-07-2016 2/2 whether he is required to be permitted to join or a departmental enquiry is required to be held for his prolonged absence. Whatever is required to be done must be done within a period of six months from the date of communication / production of a copy of this order and appearance of the petitioner before the District Education Officer, Jamui.

Writ application stands disposed off with observation / direction as above.
