JUSTICE SUDHIR SINGH ORAL ORDER 13-11-2017 The following reliefs have been sought for on behalf of the petitioners, in the present writ application:- 1.

For direction upon the respondent authorities under the State Government to take necessary steps towards extending the benefits of teaching experience to the Guest Lecturers in a similar manner as decided in the cases of Lecturers working

2/4 on contract basis in different Govt.

engineering/polytechnic institutions under the administrative control of Science and Technology Department and also, Animal and Fishery Resources Department of the State Government , as contained in the resolution dated 19.01.2012, issued by the State Government, by which, it has been decided to extend the benefit of weightage of 2% for each year during which a person has worked as a teacher on contract in the matters of consideration of cases of persons for appointment on contract basis as teachers in Govt.

Issuance of a declaration holding that the petitioners being Guest Lecturers are also entitled for similar weightage to be granted for each year of teaching experience in a similar manner as the

3/4 contract teachers in relation to whom a decision to extend the benefit of weightage of 2% for each year has been taken by the State Government, as contained in its resolution dated 19.01.2012 passed by the General Administration Department of the State Government in view of the similar duties and nature of work being discharged by both the contract teachers as well as the Guest Lecturers in different Govt.

Considering the reliefs sought for on behalf of the petitioners, the petitioners are directed to file a representation before the Principal Secretary, Science and Technology, Bihar, Patna i.e. Respondent no.3.

On filing of such representation, the Respondent no.3 shall dispose of the representation of the petitioners, in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of filing of such representation of the petitioners.

4/4 With the aforesaid observation and direction, the present writ application stands disposed of.
