JUSTICE VIKASH JAIN ORAL JUDGMENT Date: 27-04-2018 The present writ petition has been filed for quashing the letter no. 176 dated 25.03.2013 issued by the Assistant Engineer, Power Supply Sub-Division, Bihar Sharif, Nalanda whereby direction has been given to the petitioner to deposit Rs. 1,97,977/- for theft of electric after lodging F.I.R. against the petitioner under Section 135 of the Electricity Act, 2003.

2. At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner fairly accepts that statutory remedy by approaching the CGRF is available under Section 42(5) of the Electricity Act for redressal of his grievances.

3. This Court therefore, is not inclined to enter into the

Patna High Court CWJC No.8317 of 2016 dt.27-04-2018 merits of the matter. The writ petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the CGRF with an appropriate application for redressal of his grievances.
